These days it is so easy to get caught up in the busyness of Christmas, for some people it is a time of celebration and fun, for others it can be stressful and personally challenging. With all that is thrown at us by media and marketing, each year it seems to be becoming harder and harder to see the real reason that Christmas exists and that is because of the miracle gift of love many years ago, the birth of Jesus, God’s only Son. With the pressure around us for Christmas to be seen as, “the holiday season” and a push for it to no longer even be called Christmas, let’s not forget the fact that Christmas began with the birth of Jesus our Saviour. Let’s not let all the noise around us drown out the truth that Christmas is all about Jesus! I encourage you to remember and to not keep Jesus hidden away but to look to Him because it is in Him that the wonderful joy of Christmas and the gift of Salvation is found.

Isaiah 9 v 6 (NIV) “For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of His government and peace there will be no end”.
